Our Story
Hi, I'm Jackson Cook and Antler Grip is my small New Zealand business where I make handmade tools and gifts using real deer antlers. I started it in 2024 to earn some money, get experience running a business, and save up for my first car.
Since I hunt, I had plenty of antlers lying around and thought it'd be awesome to turn them into something unique and useful. I began with antler-handled fishing iki spikes, which sold out quickly on Facebook, and soon expanded into bottle openers, cheese knives, and BBQ spatulas.
Each piece is different, with its own natural look and feel, and they're popular with hunters, fishers, BBQ fans, gift buyers, and anyone who appreciates handmade products. So far, I've sold to around 50 customers through Facebook groups and word of mouth.
As I head off to university in 2026, Mason Lovett will be taking over and continuing to build the Antler Grip brand. He’s planning to secure a more consistent antler supply and hopefully start selling at local shops and outdoor events, while also using the business to gain experience and save toward buying his first car.
Every Antler Grip product tells a story - from the New Zealand wilderness to your hands.
